Bottle at Taps Beer Bar, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a clear light amber with a thin broken white head. The aroma is light malt hop. The flavour is medium bitter with a watery light woody resin palate. Medium to light bodied with soft carbonation. Served cool and it was refreshing, but a little light all round.

Sampled at Craft Beer Rising 2014 - Brick Lane, London. Bottle. Pours clear gold with a creamy, white head. Very clean with light hopping, dry citrus, pine needles, grapefruit. Light bodied with average carbonation. Dry and cleansing to finish. Solid effort.

500ml bottle from the LCBO. Pours a clear light orange with a small white head. Nose is biscuit malts with small notes of citrus and pine. Sweet start with minimal bitterness and a very washed out finish. Light thin mouth with soft carbonation. Easy drinking but not much of interest.

Growler, 10C. A beer I’ve passed on many times because of unease about bottle age. Pale amber with a modest white head. Aroma of oranges and flowers, peaches, lychees. Sweet stone and tropical fruit with clean pale malt malt supporting, then a floral peppery bitter finish that’s moderate but cuts through nicely. Reminders of some of the newer English golden ales hopped with new world hops, though presumably this came first. Delicate, refreshing and highly drinkable.

Bottle: Poured a light hazy golden color ale with a medium to large foamy head with good retention and some light lacing. Aroma consists of light bitter hops with timid citrus notes. Taste is also dominated by timid citrus hoppy notes with a dry and bitter finish. Body is quite full with good carbonation. Not bad but somewhat disappointed as I was hoping for a hop bomb based on the commercial description but the Cascade hops were hard to notice.

Single at the LCBO with a neck label written, Silver Australian International Beer Awards 2010. Pours a slightly hazy golden-amber colour with a bubbly head that disappears quickly, but has a little lacing, here and there. The nose seems off-balanced, with some light hops at first which are good, but then, this big cereal puff comes up, and seems all over. A mix of caramel malts with dark fruits and other aromas that don’t blend very well. The taste is pretty much the same. Maybe a got a bad bottle, but I am not a fan of this one.

A malt heavy pale ale along the English style more than American. Finishes malty sour. Not a great deal going on here. Bottle.

Hazy amber beer, little white head. Light crisp palate, semi dry. Minerals. Carbonated sting. Mild pale malt. forms a frame for nice tangerine - orange hop. Finishes semi dry. Fresh and refreshing.

Bottle from BrewDog AGM. It pours slightly hazy light orange, with a massive white head. The nose is grass, orange fruit, creamy and sweaty sock. The taste is straw, resinous hops, orange squash, citrus pith, grapefruit, spice and grass, with a bitter-dry finish. Medium body and average carbonation. Not bad.

(bottle) Poured one pint of hazy amber beer and one pint of foam. Nice zesty grapefruit hop aroma. Light body and fizzy. Pleasant malt with lots of hop flavours, but not a lot of hop bitterness. Tangy grapefruit and some peppery spice. Some pleasant bitterness in finish. Overall a nice APA but spoiled by the ridiculous effervescence.
