This beer is our modern English take on the old Belgian saison style. A lightly spiced aroma emanates from esters produced by the warm-fermenting yeast, while orange citrus flavours are provided by new varieties of English hops. Best served cold and drunk with contemplation.

Sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers! Aroma is floral, grassy, pine, tropical fruit, lemon and a lot of yeast. Taste is yeasty and grassy with the fruits coming through. Very soft carbonation. Very good.

Bottle from Bury Lane Farm Shop, Royston. Hazy orange with a white head and a moderate fizz. Sweetish and really quite spicy from the off - there's peach, orange, a hint of banana, white bread and a lot of pepper. Slight sour and mildly bitter note in the finish seems like it shouldn't be there. Nice at first, but liked it less the more I drank.

330ml bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, May 23. Thanks Simon for this one! Misty gold appearance with large white head. Quite a peppery saison character here, spicy moments with a mid to low sweetness, soft yeasty shades. Medium body. Not bad.

Fra fat på GBBF aug-19: klar gylden med fint skum som varer. Krydder, gjær, tørkede tropiske frukter, stall/høy, lyse bær, gule epler og aprikoser. Now we're finally getting somewhere! Very moreish.
