330ml bottle. Pours a deep brown, large receding light tan head. Aroma is nutty, lactic. Taste is grainy, nutty, fizzy.. almost giving a nod to an oude bruin, but not quite. Vivid sour edge, with some dark fruits and herbal notes.

12th November 2016
Hazy dark brown beer, huge pale tan head. Palate is airy, mildly dry and has modest fine carbonation. A little floral sweetness before tangy fruits, turning sour, take over. The sourness gets puckery. A vague Dr Pepper vibe about the sour fruits. Dry and sourish finish. Not bad.

Bottle from Fresh Fields Croydon. It pours darkest brown with a quickly dissipating tan head. The aroma is rich, woody, earth, leather, dirt, cacao nibs, malt loaf and burnt treacle. The taste is crisp, tart, tangy, balsamic vinegar, some Worstershire sauce, wood, earth, leather, cocoa, some acidity, granny smith apple and dried fruits with a dry, chalky finish. Medium body and moderate, prickly carbonation. Really rather weird... Granny Smith apple and Worcestershire sauce ain’t a classic combo...

Bottle. Nose is yeast, bread, malt, light sour. Taste is sour lemon, leading to an , bready, malty, dubble taste, with hints of almond and marzipan taste with a light finish. As it warms more of a raspberry taste comes with more than a hint of Rodenbach with lots of red berry and a hint of leather . The Berlin hint speaks to a weisse character, but I think this is meant to be something of Flemish red. It’s an interesting beer, without me ever really loving it,. I can’t see when I’d buy it again. Edit: The beer opens up when it warms, and I’m now rather enjoying. It will get another outing.

Bottle at home in London - picked up at The Bottle Shop, Bermondsey. Pours clear, rich reddish brown with a foamy, tan head that fades away quickly. The aroma holds lots of tangy, ripe dark berries, leather, earth. Light sweet flavour with moderate acidic bite, more tart berries, blackberry, very faint cocoa, raspberry, lemon, light bitter earth and woody dryness. Light bodied with spritzy carbonation. Cleansing finish, with quenching acidity, tart cherry, more blackberry, leather, currants. Overall, really good stuff. Great depth, while also refreshing. Solid.

Bottle from Beer Metropolis, Shiny Shop/Tap & Brewery, Derbyshire consumed at home making Untraditional Shepherds Pies, Sunday 11th September 2016 Pours murky, muddy brown with a rapidly diminishing off-white head. Some caramel with a touch of balsamic vinegar, it has a lemon juice zap to it and bitter, sharp berries, dry. Mmhhh I think the jury is out with me on this beer, I guess that it would be quite refreshing but not really grabbing me. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov11 3.0
