0.375 l bottle from 'Etre Gourmet', 2023/2024 vintage, best before January 2034. Hazy, golden orange with a thin, fluffy, slowly diminishing, white head. Slightly sweetish, sourish, quite fruity and gently funky aroma of overripe lemon, hay, white pepper, apple and some horse blanket. Slightly sweet, gently sour, rather fruity and moderately funky taste of overripe lemon, apple, horse blanket, white pepper and some oak, followed by a medium long, quite tart, quite woody-dry finish. Medium body, gently astringent and fairly effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Refreshing, fruit-forward Geuze, very well-balanced.

Bottle. Pours clear golden amber, small off white head, decent lacing. Aroma is funk, basement, horse blanket, dust. Bugs. Flavor is light tart, medium funk, hints of lemon. Medium body, soft mouthfeel. Good.

375mL bottled 1/16/2024, drunk 7/18/25.
Clear, warm-hued copper-amber-peach. Small, neat, off-white head.
Fruity, bretty, lightly apple-y nose is round, gently oaky, not aggressive at all, with light malt and wheat and a hint of sweet caramel. Little bit of horsey/manure funk in there, too!
Bretty fruits and good acidity with gentle oak, light lactic acidity, no acetic. Good maltiness, soft, chewy wheat, light sweetness. Mild funk, with a tangy, zesty acidity lingering. Very round, mild, approachable stuff. Surprised it's 6.8%. Drinks much lighter (though is fairly malty). Wouldn't hate a bit more funk and raw mineral character, but that's always going to be the case with lambics.

375ml from De Bierschuur shared with Alex @ Ryan's deck enjoying a finally arrived warm days.
Aroma: nice funk and horse blanket, some sweetness and minerals.
Taste: along the same lines, kinda more on the mineral side than Tilquin usually is.
Overall: nice one. More preferable for me than 60-40 as it's more intense and prominent.

Poured from 375mL bottle (bb 16/01/2034; side by side with 60-40). Clear-ish gold with small white head. Dry-ish, more Tilquin tartness than compared to the 60-40, actually get less barnyard character on this bottle. Decent. Blended the last little bit of each and came out with the most balanced version.

Bouteille 37.5cl dégustée en parallèle avec la version 60/40. BB 16/01/2034.

Bottle from Dranken Vandewoude and drunk at home. Hazy amber colour due to me pouring some of the sediment in. Wonderful gueze aroma. Wild. Farmyard. Funk. Good solid gueze. Good cereal. Good balance. I liked both the 60 40 and this one. Both excellent. I guess this is a little softer. Good drinkability. Good sharp lemon edge on the finish. Excellent.

Bottle at Moeder Original, next to the 60-40. Clear golden, small head. Mineral funk, lemon, caramel, oak. Has a bit more caramel and full vanilla oak than the 60-40 which is more crisp. Soft apricot. Medium sour, less sweet, barely bitter. Crisp medium bodied. Nice, like basically every Tilquin.

375mL bottle at Moeder Lambic Fontainas. Pours murky blonde with a white head. Lots of barnyard funk and musty straw on the nose. Flavour has an herbal, grassy quality, some punchy acidity. Good stuff.

Huge, dense, just off-whte head over light copperish-golden beer, lively carbonated. Horseblanket, farmyard, immortelles, old wood, sherry. Very dry & tart, dry grains, wheat; dried non-sweet grapes, sour wine. After some time, it goes very much towards (old) lambic, rather than gueuze. Acidburn and -thinning, fiery MF. Dry-out effect, long lasting sour flavours. Classical, severe if likeable gueuze. Txs to Stef!
