0.5 l bottle from 'Bierhandwerk', best before May 2025. Slightly hazy, golden yellow with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish, slightly grassy-spicy and moderately fruity-floral aroma of lemon peel, some fresh grass, light grains and hints of white pepper. Gently sweet, moderately bitter, slightly grassy-spicy and moderately fruity-floral taste of grains, lemon peel, some fresh and a touch of white pepper, followed by a short, moderately bitter, a little dry finish. Almost medium-bodied, smooth and gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Refreshing Helles, hoppier than usual, still quite classic.

Bottle at Weihenstephan sat outside in the Biergarten on a glorious late spring day, Sunday 26th May 2024 after a few hours in München at Paulaner Nochberg Biergarten with Kostas, Vangelis and YC. This is an unfiltered Helles and surprised me by pouring even slightly cloudier than the unfiltered Pils, there is a mid sized white head atop. A little bready on the nose, some warm straw and a little bit of cereal. A nice Helles, drinks very easy and with a pleasant smoothness, there is a little bit of bitterness and it's fresh and super more'ish'. Really good.

500 ml bottle. Unclear golden with a creamy head. White sourdough bread, grain, hay, straw, grassy hops, floral hops, lemon and lemon zest. Hoppy zesty bitterness, bready grainy sweetness. Medium bodied, oily creamy texture, lively carbonated, dry zesty grassy hoppy bready bittersweet finish. A very nice unfiltered Helles, this is the expected Weihenstephan quality!
