Can from the brewery. Thought this wasn't going to be a tick but this has different hops from the original collab Checkpoint. Aroma is resinous with an earthy streak and marmalade. Opaque amber orange. Foamy white head retreats to the rim to form a few mm thick band. Medium-heavy bitter. Resin. Earthy edge, as per aroma. Tempered by sweet juicy citrus. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Average-fizzy carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Easy drinking WCIPA.

Can, Hoplords, Worcester Thursday 4th April 2024. Pours mid gold with a haze, soft mouthfeel. This is a little resinous, with some gooseberry fruitiness starting to follow. Dry lengthy finish, nice and easily the best of the three today (thus far)

Cask at White Horse, Hedgerley, Bucks. A golden/amber coloured pour with a thinnish bubbly white head on top. Hoppy, cirus, grapefruit, pine taste and aroma. Nice bitterness on this one, very good indeed.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up from Elusive online. Pours lightly hazed gold with a creamy, white topping. Light to medium sweet flavour with lovely piney hops, lemon rind, pithy grapefruit, crispy pale malts. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Subtly resinous finish, more pale bread, citrus rind. Excellent.

[Cask at the Alehouse, Reading.] A bright pale amber pour with a loose white head; rich aroma of citrus and pine; full bodied with an oily texture and a bitter, pithy grapefruit taste; and a lasting and very satisfying bitter finish with warmth and depth.

440ml can from the brewery. Not quite clear gold with a white head. Aroma of gooseberry, grape, floral, citrus. Taste is the same, Nelson leading with gooseberry and vinous flavours, a little grape and white wine there, floral and citrus notes with a piney bitter finish. Lovely little westie, which of course it is, Elusive innit.
