[33cl bottle from Sainsbury's, Bracknell.] A glossy black pour with a fast fading beige head and moderate carbonation; aroma of roasted malts, oak barrels and some boozy alcohol; rather thin with a woody alcohol taste and some burnt toast; and some sweet vanilla in the finish.

Sampled on draft at Tapped this beer poured a black color with a large foamy brown head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was malty and woody with a bit of bread crust. the flavor was dryish with toasty malts, a hint if molasses, wood and bread crust. Medium length finish. Medium body.

Big solid foamy dark head and black liquid, looks great in me curvy glass. Aroma is nice dark and oily, soft Irish whisky notes and heavy barley, coffee, soya sauce. Flavour is lots of roasted barley, wood, dark rye bread. Crisp finish but I think it could be heavier on the mouth, seemed slightly watery for what it is. Otherwise this is a finely made sipping stout.

After having the Thornbridge Eldon oak-infused Stout, which I thought was overrated, doing this one. Same dark brown colour with copper highlights, warm beige head, good stay and lots more thick foamy lace. The Tullamore Dew Irish Whiskey does come out very nicely in the smell, over the roasted malts giving fresh chocolate notes as well. Same for the taste. Kind of herbal notes from the Whiskey barrel with chocolate and roasted grains. A nice balance between the sweetness, roastiness and mild hops. I prefer this one.

A deep dark stout with a thin brown head. In aroma, sweet chocolate malt with dark fruits, light metallic notes, OK. In mouth, sweet chocolate malt with dark fruits, light bourbon barrel notes, woody notes, alcohol warmth, OK. Bottle from lcbo 2018.
