Black IPA - Not all things are as they might appear. This is Antichrist. Supernatural in its clean flavour, a true revelation in beer style. Don't underestimate the powers of this Black IPA - a beastly 6.66% abv

Bottle, 330 ml at Samo Pivo, Belgrade. Pours black with medium beige head. Malty, roasted, some hops, fruit, sourish, odd bitterness. Seems that something was wrong with this one.

330ml bottle. Almost black appearance with a very small tan head. Aroma: hoppy, pine, dark fruit, toffee, hint of roasted malt. Taste: much the same as the aroma, bitter hops and sweetish malts, toffee, dark ripe fruits, roasted malt. Very bitter finish. Decent BIPA but not a favourite.

Level 42 Bottleshare. Thanks to Fergus. Clear brown beer, small pale tan head. Palate is light, semi dry and has reasonable fine carbonation. Tangy dark malts bring equally tangy dark chocolate. Some roast malt bitterness. Hops just bring a little bitterness on the finish. It’s fine, if not the most exciting of CDAs.

Bottle care of Fergie. It pours darkest ruby - black with a small light tan head. The aroma is sweet, juicy, dried berry, fruit cake, Eccles cake, juicy plum, date, malt loaf and jam. The taste is smooth, plummy, jammy, date, spicy, earthy roast, charred wood, liquorice, burnt roast and spicy action with a dry, charred finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Fair cda, a bit charred and ashy.

Bottle shared in London - thanks to Fergus. Pours deep brown with a creamy, tan head. The nose has some minerals, well toasted bread, earth. Light sweet flavour, dry and flinty, more earth, dry cocoa. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Dry finish, bitter and toasty, with baking cocoa. Not bad.
