pretty much the most boring beer ive had only because its so easy to drink. If someone told me that they are interesting in craft beer and dont know where to begin, I would open with this one, just to take the fear out of craft brewing, cause this is the least intimidating beer ive ever had.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a medium brown color with a large creamy tan head that lingered and left some lacing. The aroma was faint sour malts, moderate wood and a touch of vague fruit. The flavor was dryish, nutty and quite woody. The finish was long and woody. Medium body. Sup par.

Bottle: Poured a dirty brown color ale with a rather large head with average retention. Aroma of caramel malt with some sweetness. Taste is also dominated by some roasted malt with a nice lingering caramel-like sweetness. Body is just above average with some good carbonation. Better then most standard brown ale out there but nothing to write home about.

Dark cinnamon brown color with a fleeting white head. Light malt aroma. A bit or malt sweetness but very thin and washed out.

2004 bottle at Julio’s Spring Beer Fest, 4/02/05. Pretty standard, chestnut brown body, light beige head, very clear. Aroma of light chocolate and sweet caramel/sugar. Flavor is simple, with a mild brown sugar and toffee, medium to medium-light body Moderate carbonation, sweet, lightly fruity yeast. Incredibly average and boring. Argo0 certainly nailed this one.

A dark amber beer with a disappearing beige head. The aroma is weak, but what is there is of malt and alcohol. The flavor is slightly sour with notes of malt.

Orange browna ale with small off white head. Rather grassy aroma and fresh malts. Light crisp with a nice sweet malt finish , a touch of roasted. Medium to light bodied, perfect for after hitting the trail, or like me, from a bike ride in the sweltering sun.

Nice amber colour with a slightly off-white head which starts nice, but fades with time. Smells of hops, malt and roasted barley dominate the smell...but there is some slight sugar and sweetness in the smell. The taste is a combination of all the flavours detected in the aroma, but at a more subtle level. The second tastes leaves even more to be desired, and shows the watery characteristics in the beer. The consistency of the beer is actually medium-bodied, but I would classify the taste as 'light-bodied' :-). I have two other beers by this brewery in my possession, but by the scores...they should be even worse than this beer...and i'm not really looking forward to that. Not a bad beer, but not a great one...I wouldn't reccomend buying this beer. I purchased this as a 12 ounce bottle from Beers of the World in Rochester, New York.
