Cask at the Cock Tavern, Hackney on 17th August 2018. Copper with off-white, full-lacing foam.Herby nose with biscuit malt. Rich and intense nuttiness in-mouth - hazelnut. Bitter and resoundingly nutty finish. Zingy mouthfeel and medium body. Superb!

Bottle from Campbell's of Leyburn. Amber with a white head and a light fizz. Tastes of twigs, caramel, dead leaves, twigs, bread and twigs. More twigs in the assertively bitter finish. Really quite twiggy this one. Ok though.

Cask at the cock. A clear reddy amber coloured pour with a a lasyi G loose beige head. Aroma is autumnal leaves, brown sugars, brown bread, rye, twig. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, bitter toasted nutty malts, firm harsh bitterness.. Little grassy twig lingering.. Palate is light, light sugar, decent cask condition.. Lingering tangy dried fruit.

[ As Beer Monkey Brew Bitter Revival ].
ABV: 3.9%. Clear medium amber orange colour with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, caramel, sweet malt, light bread. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, pale malt, sweet malt, caramel, bread. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20180808]

GBBF Day 2. Cask. Clear gold - amber beer, good pale cream colour head. Smooth and fairly dry palate, reasonable fine carbonation. Dry malts, not much sweetness and a touch of grain. Dry twiggy dried fruits. Little floral spice. Dry finish. Dry and exceedingly dull.

(Cask at Cock Tavern, Hackney, London, 26 May 2018) Amber colour with creamy, beige head. Malty nose with caramel, toffee and black-currant. Malty taste with notes of caramel, toast, apricot marmalade, orange peel and a balanced bitterness. Light body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty and well balanced. quite nice.

Cask at the Cock Tavern - Hackney. Pours clear copper-gold with a small, foamy topping. The nose holds English yeast and lightly toasted malts. Light sweet flavour with more bready malts, yeast, leaves, faint grass, berries. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation; good condition. Balanced finish, more leafy hops, some bitter orange peel, toasted grains, more English yeast. Sound.

Cask @ Golden Lion, Todmorden, home of Tor Beers. Copper with a creamy-frothy head. It has a light bitterness, is quite regular tasting with a mild caramel sweetness.
