Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol 7/4/2016. Golden in colour, with a decent, off-white, head. Aroma of citrus and red berry fruits and grassy hops, with a suggestion of pine, Flavour was crisp, with more fruits, biscuity malts and a dry finish. Enjoyable.

10th February 2016
Lightly hazy gold beer, thin white head. Palate is light, fairly dry and has reasonable fine carbonation. Thin malts, mild sweetness. Little tangerine, tangy. Touch of orange peel. Bitterish pith before a semi dry finish. Not bad.

Bottle split at home thanks to James, 13/02/16. Hazed orange golden with a well appointed egg shell white covering. Nose is bitter orange, caramel malt, light spice, tangerine, light bread dough. Taste comprises orange pith, mineral notes, tangerine, earthy hop, bitter citric peel, toasted malt. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close peppered with earthy hop bitterness. Decent enough number if a touch raw.

Bottle from M&S Westfield Stratford and drunk at home. Clear amber colour lasting ivory head. Clean fresh hop aroma. Now thatโ€™s a good IPA. Some biscuit on the malts, then a satisfying hoppy flavour that reminds me of raspberry and grapefruit at the same time. Exquisitely fresh, tasty and decently satisfying. Some bitterness on the finish. Some pippy raspberry. Leafy. A beautiful beer. Genuinely impressed.

Keg at the Pint Shop, Cambridge. Dark gold, a bit hazy, with a film of white head. Juicy Asian pear and a bit of pine on the nose. Bittersweet taste, nicely balanced but not particularly engaging. More orchard fruit bitterness on the finish. Enjoyable without breaking any records.

33cl bottle from Marks & Spencer, Camberley. A slightly hazy amber pour with a ring of white head; clean citrusy aroma; a mellow, sweet grapefruity taste; and a bitter marmalade finish with a pleasant warmth. Another excellent beer from Liverpool Craft.

330ml bottle from M&S Shrewsbury. Pours a hazy reddish orange with thin creamy head. Prickly pine aroma. Taste is definitely in the hoppy camp with grapefruit, lime, pineapple & orange peel all vying for your attention. Tasty.

330ml bottle from my local Marks & Sparks: poured into Chimay chalice on the patio 15th June 2015 and second bottle of the day from these guys. I thought this marginally better than the Rye Pale Ale. Misty orange body with a wispy top, hops rule the nose and taste with a cool bitterness over riding every and anything else. Been back from Southern California a week now, this reminded me of the style so common out there: not as harsh in itโ€™s bitterness but getting there and most enjoyable.
