Murky yellow with a frothy, white head. Aroma a mix of pineapple, peppercorn, and grapefruit with sweet, candy-like hints on top. Taste is bitter and quite citric. Light, accompanying sweetness. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation. Nice.

Can Day 5 Fin's Beyond Beer Advent Calendar, Monday 9th December 2024 listening to ByteFM. Pours murky milky yellow with a mid sized white head. The nose is biscuit, fruity, clean and fresh with a little resinous hit from the hops and light citrus. Tastewise it's got a nice balance, some sweetness fruity even a little refreshing, it's a good beer.

(473ml can from L'Axe du Malt, Quebec City) Pours murky dull orange-gold with a decent eggshell head and a little lace. Aroma of somewhat tart and dank mangoes, lemon and lime zest, florals, some gooseberry NZ stuff for sure, fresh leafy stuff as well, nice and bright fresh hop quality throughout. Flavour is softly sweet but with a clear cereal malt core to it, a little less 'bright' than the nose but with lemon-lime candy, lime zest, gooseberry twang, a little mango and pineapple but not overly 'juicy', floral and leafy tones with a soft dankness, a little peppery green garlic, soft astringent lime peel floral bitterness in the finish and aftertaste. Light bodied, fairly oily, softly carbonated. Very solid NZ-dominated pale ale with a little Citra splash (since it's every hop bill's favourite unicorn). Still would prefer a heftier beer but good at 5.5.

Hazy golden colour with a frothy white cap, somewhat bubbly with good retention and leaving foamy lacing. Lemon zest aromas with some milder juices. The taste has the same, being a Pale Ale, is milder than their IPA. Refreshing, crisp, juicy mouthfeel. Light dryness and easy to drink.
