Bottle 0.75l, trade with MrOrla, huge thanks, Martin! Probably five years aged. Black, opaque. AROMA- roasted malts, pralines, coffee, light bourbon. FLAVOR- velvety, moderately sweet, moderately bitter, quite warming, alcohol, bourbon, pralines, cocoa powder. Full bodied. Somewhat too sweet and too strong alcohol presence for me.

Prune esters then settle there, accompanied by notes of alcohol, sweet caramel, and biscuit. Brown foam is effervescent and leaky over black and opaque liquid. Extremely chocolatey in mouth, accompanied by a beneficial heat and a slight bitterness of roasting at finish. Notes of cocoa, vanilla, biscuit caramel, all coated with a fully integrated alcohol that does not make its 13.8% feel. The finish is balanced between alcohol and roasting to cause a slight bitterness. The body is full with a gentle carbonation that increases this feeling of fullness. A chocolate nectar that will accompany many chocolate desserts.

1 pint can from MBC. Black body, with a small, creamy, coffee-colored head. Aroma of bourbon, cocoa powder, coffee, soy sauce, liquorice, wood, some chocolate fudge. Tastes similar. Medium, oily mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation. Finishes dry, roasty, a bit sweet, wooden, with cocoa powder, coffee, liquorice. Tasty! Really robust, pretty much on the roasty-dry end of the style. Still well balanced and diverse, with well integrated barrel and just enough sweet body. Score: 8 / 4 / 8 / 4 / 17
