Bottleshare at Chez Smith. Hazy gold beer, a few pale cream colour bubbles. Skunky farmyard and manure on the nose, not pleasant. Palate is light, semi dry and has a fine crispness. Tart pineapple and mild lemon sherbet. Some farmyard carries over from the nose. Light crisp finish brings a whisper of coconut. Tastes better than it smells for sure!

Bottle shared in London - cheers to Kenny. Pours hazy orange-gold with a slim white head. The nose holds tangy citrus, a little pineapple, melon, faint funk, poo. Medium sweet flavor with a bit more tangy citrus, rotten pineapple, orange, bread, subtle tart lemon, a little puke. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly tart on the finish, more lemon, melon, dank pineapple, a little warmth. Somewhat disheveled, but OK.

Bottle split at the Bespin cloud network, thanks to Kenny, 15/12/15. Hazed orange blonde with minimal off white spotting. Nose is pissy citrics, pineapple jus, light funk, vegetal notes, vinegar strokes. Taste comprises tangy citrics, apricot jam, tangerine, light yeast, faint brett, on the turn melon. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with light puckerings and an acidic trace. Pretty average xour.

Bottle big thanks to Kenny. It pours cloudy bright gold with a small white head. The nose is pungent, vegetal, dirty, musty, filth, funk, dull tinned pineapple vibe, some syrupy sweetness. The taste is crisp, tart, tangy, decent acidity, pineapple chutney, pineapple chunks, earth and light vomit with a dry finish. Medium body and average carbonation. A bit more mellow and fresh after it opens up. Ok.

Bottle sample at Sioux Falls fest. Hazy yellow color, white head. Aroma of dusty overripe pineapple. Taste is softly sour pineapple and citrus. Easy drinking.

Grunt from Albertsons. One of the more approachable sours I’ve tried. Not an overall huge fan of the style, but this one is fairly gentle and welcoming. Mild citrus aroma leads into a more tart taste, both from the pineapple and the Brett. Gentle finish with a hint of alcohol warmth.

750 ml corked and caged bottle. Aroma is very lactic, making my sinuses and taste buds water, seedy berry jam, dust, lemon, pineapple, perfect for a sour. Pours hazy gold with a large white head that falls after a minute. Taste is sour (7/10 on a sour scale), very acidic, peppery, dry. The pineapple comes through in flavor but it’s not over the top. Light wood. Lightly foamy mouthfeel, medium body. Pretty cool beer.

Bottle. A- Subtle pineapple, sour, subtle funk. A- Yellow color, hazy liquid, white head. T- Subtle pineapple, sour, tart, funky. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, sour finish. O- The pineapple is really subdued in here but it is executed well. Usually I’m not a fan of pineapple in beer but here it’s good. Textbook sour in terms of flavors.

This pours a hazy light orange with a small head of foam that shrinks quickly. Minimal lacing.
Lots of sour notes in the smell. Fruity sour, maybe. More of a fruity vinegar tartness. I also get some Brett that adds a plus to the overall aroma.
First sips in and I find a tartness level that suits my palate very nicely. I don’t often eat pineapple or drink pineapple juice often so I am having difficulty pulling out the said fruit in this beer. That being said, there’s a tasty fruity mix of sweet and sour that I am digging.
The Brett I noted in the smell is more subdued taste wise. That’s not a negative in my book.
Pretty light bodied with light carbonation.
This is delicious. I paid $16.80 for the bottle and I am sure another bottle or 2 will be in my immediate future.
Nice! !
