330ml bottle from Chope'n Shop, Hazebrouck. Pours a hazed dark brown, off-white head. Aroma is leathery sweet. Taste is oaky, leathery, sweet toffee, light spice, underpinned by a liquoricey alcohol warmth. Good, hefty barley wine.

Light haze on this semi opaque deepish amber beer, okay bubbly pale tan head. Smooth and semi dry palate, reasonable fine carbonation. Smooth and semi sweet malts, a touch of caramel, almost salted and a touch of mildly bitter toffee. A mild spice on the finish and plenty of ripe citric peel. Not 5he snoothest or subtlest of barleywines, but it has a charm.

Bottle split at Chris & Ruth's pre GBBF Shin Dig, cheers for all the shares, 05/08/17. Lightly hazed amber with an off white cap. Nose is caramel, fruit rinds, light spice, booze. Taste comprises toffee, fruit cake, dates, prunes, mince meat, spice, caramel. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a boozy edge. Average fayre ... lacks depth for the ABV.
