Cask at CBC Clerkenwell to loosen up before the Tuesday Horal Chugging Tasting - London. Pours clear gold with a foamy white head. Peach and citrus in the nose - orange to be specific. Light-medium sweet with light pine notes, dry grass and orange rind. Light to medium in body with fine carbonation. Good condition. Light piney bitterness in the finish with more orange citrus. Very nice, balanced IPA.

Cask at the Wenlock Arms, London on 6th October 2013. Amber with off white shallow foam and very little, quickly vanishing lace. Richly hoppy aroma with grapefruit and a touch of peachiness. Intensely hoppy in-mouth with grapefruit, apricot and bitter notes. Satisfyingly bitter finish. Zingy with plenty of body. Exquisite.

Cask at Craft Clerkenwell. It pours clear amber with a medium off-white head. The nose is dough, toast, bitter-sweet, orange, peach and a touch of spice. The taste is crisp, dough, buttered toast, decent bitterness, hay, grass, grapefruit and pithy orange with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Decent, but I have to confess I was slightly underwhelmed...

Pint cask at the harp London. Golden copper colour with a lovely nice white frothy head. The harp can really look after their beers. Aroma is nice hop peach and lychee with some nelson sauvin hop. Full body for a pale. Flavour has biscuit malt, but dominated by the juicy fruit hop. Very tasty beer that I enjoyed very much.

Craft Clerkenwell. Cask. Pretty much a clear gold beer with a small pale cream coloured head. Light palate, semi dry. Supermild carbonation. Orange marmalade hops, that are medium bitter. Slight floralness. Finishes semi dry. I got a bit tired of this before finishing it, it needs something else. Okay though.

Cask at the Cask, Pimlico, 16/09/13. Clear golden with a good sized off white head. Nose is light hops, toasted malts, citrus, orange, hint of grapefruit. Taste carries more depth than the aroma, light grapefruit, sugars, hint of pine, grass. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, subtle hop bitterness in the finish. Decent enough but didn’t carry as much depth of flavour as I expected from a 6% Dark Star offering.
