Blanche à l’avoine aux houblons néo-zélandais Cet hymne à la résistance chante les vertus d’une co-fermentation de levures de blanche et de saison. Son nez présente des arômes évidents de zeste de citron et d’épices dominées par le poivre noir concassé. Sa bouche, ultra-sèche, est arrondie en finale par une douceur d’avoine et les houblons néo-zélandais qui confirment ses forts accents d’agrumes.

Aus der Flasche im Muted Horn Berlin 2017-07 getrunken. Ein sehr Hefelastiges recht leichtes Saison. Leider ist leicht hier auch das Problem. Es bleiben kaum neben der Hefe und vielleicht etwas Citrusnoten nicht viel an Aromen am Gaumen hängen. Nein dieses Bier ist was für den schnellen Durst und nicht zum längeren Genießen. Zu leicht, langweilig und daher gibt nur für die solide Handwerkskunst noch einen Daumen hoch.

A hazed yellow blonde saison saison with a thin white head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with light soapy notes, coriander, light buttery notes, so-so. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with light banana esters, light mineral notes, light curacao, pleasant and smooth. On tap at Saint Bock.

Pours a hazy light golden-yellow colour with a big foamy white head that stays very, very long. Patchy soapy lacing. Citrus nose with spices, somewhat peppery and with decent grainy malt undertones. Carbonation is quite active. The taste is more of the hoppy side with some nice grassy Saison hops, giving a nice dry mouthfeel. Hints of yeast blending things with the mild spices. Quite a nice collaboration. A beautiful hoppier Saison.

Tap into a wineglass showing lightly filtered yellow with a finger of clean white foam. The nose shows lemon drops with hints of sweet malt. The palate is lightly carbonated and light bodied. Flavors of lemon drops with a grapefruit bitterness.

Draft at The Sovereign. Cloudy pale yellow color, white head with spiderweb lacing. Aroma of dusty white pepper and herbs. Taste is funky dusty haystacks. Delicious.

Bottle from the Pointe-Claire Village. Trou du Diable & Del Ducato Bella Ciao 5% This is a friendship collaboration brew made with saison and white beer (Weizen?) yeast. It pours a lovely cloudy gold with a thick fluffy head that leaves globs of soapy lacing behind. Nice aroma of pepper, limes, wheat and some funk. A very soft carbonation and mouthfeel with a dry finish. The taste gives wheat, cloves, lemons, funky saison brett dryness and a green lime taste in the finish. Got this to match the beautiful sunny weather and I scored a hit. Refreshing.
