Elgood’s Coolship Sour Mango Ale is brewed using traditional methods & original brewing equipment. Spontaneous fermentation is initiated on our unique double coolships. This unique English style sour beer has been blended with Mango for a tropical touch. The beer is bright golden in colour with a sparkling finish. The tropical fruit flavour is off-set by the smooth sourness of the Coolship Ale, resulting in a refreshing and satisfying drink.

Pigs Ear Fest. Cask. Hazy gold beer, thin pale cream colour head. Nice crisp palate, great condition. Great mildly sour and punchy mango underpinned by light pineapple tartness. Light sherbet on the semi dry finish. Great stuff but a room splitter. The cask didn’t last long so I think the majority of people liked this one a lot. My kinda lambic.

Gravity dispense at Pigs Ear ’16, 29/11/16. Very lightly hazed copper with a decent off white covering. Nose is sweet syrupy fruits, mango flesh, nectarine, perfume, straw. Taste comprises light funk, hay bale, peach flesh, mango pulp. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close. Minimal sourness to this number more an overly sweet fruit beer ... Miss !

Cask at Pigs Ear 2016 - London. Pours clear orange-gold with a slight, white cream head. The nose has lots of ripe peach, melon, mango, a little funky poo. Light-medium sweet flavour with more juicy tropical fruits, mango, peach, tangerine, low acidity (if at all), minimal tang. Light bodied with spritzy carbonation. Finishes with a touch of lemony tartness, more peach and mango, mild earthy notes. Somewhat enjoyable.

Cask at Pigs Ear. It pours clear golden - amber with a small white head. The aroma is soft sweet, tangy, mango syrup, apricot, candy, very artificial and candy. The taste is sweet, tangy, chewy, sour mango, sour candy, green apple and sugared fruits with a soft, tangy finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Tastes better than it smells, but it ain’t great overall.
