Bottle from the brewery and drunk at home. Clear orangey amber lasting beige head. Some candied fruit and a little spiciness. Rather good in the mouth. A good dry Belgian style amber beer. I liked it.

Bottle split at the Beers of London/Christmas tasting at Leighton’s pad which I picked up from the brewery, 10/12/14. Clear golden amber with moderate off white spotting and edgework. Nose is spice, malt, toffee, clove, Belgian yeast notes. Taste comprises toffee, dark fruit rinds, candyfloss, spice, earthy notes. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok dubbel.

Bottle thanks to Colin. It pours clear deep amber with a medium off-white head. The nose is bitter-sweet, raisin, sultana, candy, sugared almonds, spice, toast and brioche. The taste is fruit cake, earth, fig, spice, orange peel, sherbet, raisin and toasty grain with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Tasty christmassy number.

Bottle shared in London. Thanks to Colin. Pours perfectly clear gold with a creamy white head. Big yeasty and doughy nose, much pale bread, herbs. Medium sweet flavor with rich holiday spices, Belgian yeast, bread, orange. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sweet finish, lightly sticky and warming, with further winter spices, bread, mild bitter hay. Very nice beer.
