A New England update on our Double IPA Human Cannonball, this DIPA uses a high percentage of oats and wheat in the grist for a creamy smooth mouthfeel. We eliminated the bittering and moved the majority of whirlpool hops over to the dry hopping to maximise aroma. Fermented with London Fog yeast for an estery aroma and sweet finish the beer is served way more hazy than the original to maximise the flavour expression.

Can thanks to Dan. It pours cloudy orange with a small white head. The aroma is fresh, sweet, juicy, tangy, loads of tropical fruits, five alive fruit juice, peachy, apricot, some grassy notes, weedy, chive and brioche with marmalade. The taste is dry, touch of bitterness, green, weedy upfront, pine needles, apricot, peach, spicy session, brioche, ice-cream float, fruit smoothie, kick of alcohol and some alcohol heat with a drying finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Decent.

Rocky white head left froth on a hazy dark lemon coloured still body. Juice bomb of an aroma with hop,s bitter/sweet citrus & tropical fruits. Medium to full bodied, almost chewy in the mouth as if there's bits of fruit floating about & clean finish. Full juicy tastes of pineapple, sweet citrus, orange, confectionery & pine.

500ml can. Pours murky golden orange with a small white head. Aroma of juicy tropical fruits, dank, a subtle savoury note. Taste of soft juicy tropical fruits, mango, papaya, pineapple, passionfruit, dank, light sweet, and despite the description there's actually a pronounced bitterness to this in the finish which is nice, also quite sticky. Medium bodied, soft carbonation. A superb addition to the Cannonball run.

Can. Bar Stewards, Sheffield. Hazed, pale gold. Thin, swirly, lasting, white head. Nose has orange spangles. Candied peel. A little fusty and savoury. Some weed. Light, bready and oaty grist. Taste has a candied sweetness, that sticks the lips together, but mostly it’s dank and juicy bitter. Slick mouthfeel. Drinks easy. A little drying. Juicy bitter finish. Nice one. The extra bitterness here is most welcome, for me.

Can. Nose is surprisingly dank, grapefruit, melon, peach, hint of lime. Taste is dank, grapefruit, citrus, hint of marmalade, pineapple, apricot, mango, slight onion character, hint of mint. I like it, I am not sure it quite had to flavour profile I was expecting for a NEIPA turned into a DIPA - it felt more like a hazy DIPA that was sweetened slightly. It's very nice.
