Isle Of Wight Holiday Beer#68. Picked this local one up earlier in the co-op in Ryde. Dark easy porter. It's a mild version of the style in taste, sweeter dark malty in aroma and flavour with hints of chocolate. Pleasant stuff.

500ml bottle, thanks to Grumbo. BB - 01/21. Pours dark brown with a off white head. Aromas & tastes of chocolate, dark fruits, toffee, hints of orange & malt. Moderate body. Dry finish. Enjoyable, especially considering it's a year out of date, happy to get my 2nd IOW rate

Bottle from Cider Barn, Godshill. Aroma combines liquorice and coffee with dark berries and porridge. Dark and glossy. Foamy beige head. Medium bitter. Liqourice. Followed by a malty wave. Underlying dark berry tang eventually comes to the fore. Medium bodied. Creamy. Average-fizzy carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish. Pleasant Stout.

28th May 2017: Burning Soul Brewery tasting session. 500ml bottle thanks to me. Red hue to the mahogany body, decent white head on top. Malty brew with a mild nutty feel in the flavours amongst the malty molasses that help to make this a fairly sweet beer.
