Bottle from HoTM. It pours hazy pale orange with a small fluffy white head. The aroma is fresh, bright, fruit filled, papaya, tangerine, grapefruit, kumquat, gooseberry, melon, touch green and floral. The taste is pleasingly crisp, dry, crunchy, restrained bitterness (by usual Kernel standards), floral, pithy, zesty, tangerine, grapefruit, fresh pine and fairly subtle bready malts. Finish is dry and zingy. Average body and fine, prickly carbonation. All comes together very well. Opens up as t warms. Very moreish.

OK body. Maybe a little light on malt. But the flavour is lovely decent bitterness on the finish. Hops shine. Really good.

Bottle at home, from HOTM online 13/10/23. Moderately hazed golden orange with a good sized lasting white head. Nose is orange jelly, grass, melon, papaya, mandarin, sweet tropical fruit esters. Taste comprises orange pith, grass, soft malts, papaya, melon, mandarin, light breads. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spliced with juicy come lightly grassy hop bitterness. Solid easy drinking and well balanced pale.

8th October 2023
Hazy gold beer, good pale cream colour head. Smooth airy palate, mildy dry, decent fine carbonation. Fluffy pale malts, bringing the modicum of dryness and a thin creamy sweetness. Really nice hopping here, the Superdelic hops (fucken cringe name) seem to very prominent. Soft pine into rounded very mellow lemon and lime. Smooth and soft skunky grass playing second fiddle. Touch of white strawberry, little peachy stone fruits on the back end before a light and semi dry finish. The candy fruits are obvious in the aftertaste. Didn't really notice any Citra, which is unusual. Very nice. Getting back to classic Kernel, laying out the hop character in large typeset. If only the pillowy creamy malt base would make a comeback.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up from Figs & Grain. Pours mostly clear gold-yellow with a fluffy, pure white head. Gorgeous stuff, fresh lemon and other citrus, a little pithy dryness, soft piney bitterness, supportive background pale malts. Light bodied with massaging carbonation. Refreshingly bitter finish, pine needles, lemon rind, pithy grapefruit accents, a little dirty hay. A stunner.
