The flavoursome bottled Craft Shipwreck IPA is an Indian Pale Ale that is big and hoppy with lots of sweet tropical fruit notes. Not too bitter on the forefront with mellowed hop aromas due to long conditioning periods. A refreshing, tropical fruit aroma with a mellow floral hop character which leads to a dense hoppy body. A good bitterness develops alongside ripe, fruity notes, mellowing into a sweet finish.

Pay homage to a proper local hero and raise a glass of Shipwreck IPA to young John Honey. Johnny risked his life for five stricken sailors. It's the true spirit of St Andrews.

Bottle. Clear pour, amber. Aroma is honey, nutty, mild hops. Medium body. Flavour is malty and mild, sweet, nutty, mild hops. Not very engaging, and not hoppy enough to be an IPA. More like a bitter. Not bad, but not exciting.

Clear dark golden colour, large, stable white head; aroma of unripe fruitiness nd grainy-malty notes; taste of sourish fruity n9tes and intensive syrupy maltiness with some minimal hoppy notes...is it really an IPA?

33o ml bottle: BBE Sep 2018. Drank at home on 10th Aug 2017. Deep amber pour, off-white crown. More malty than hoppy in both the nose and taste, semi-sweet backbone with some fruity notes from the hop content. Thought it OK. Drank in between two Mikkeller beers which were both highly flavoursome, so this might have been at a disadvantage.

Bottle courtesy of Craig (cheers Craig!), consumed at home cooking Moussaka outside and making Chocolate and Lime Ice Cream, Sunday 14th August 2016 Hazy amber in colour with a white head. Not much to write home about with the aroma. The taste is tangy fruit. it’s ok, nothing special. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1

Cask at GBBF 2015, day 2 - London. Pours clear gold with a creamy, white head. The nose has pale bread and ripening citrus fruits. Medium sweet flavor with lightly doughy white bread, low bitterness. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sugary and bready on the finish, with ripe lemon, citrus rind, faint melon and bitter hay. So so.
