A handshake for Hells and a high-five to USA, this takes our classic lager and slams Stateside hops at it for an Atlantic-crossing home-run of juicy citrus fruit.
Hazy with big foam, bright citrus and tropical fruit aroma, pithy bitterness and amazing hop freshness: it’s got the beautiful lightness of lager countered with a big hit of hops.
We love American hops and we love Hells Lager and wanted to smash the two together. The result is probably the most delicious beer we’ve ever brewed. It’s just about the most bangable beer you’ll ever have.
Malt: Pilsner
Hops: Cascade, Centennial, Columbus, Citra, Simcoe

Draft at The Horseshoe in Hampstead, London on 1 July 2013. Poured a slightly hazy golden with a good white head. Fruity aroma with slight hints of bread as well as more citrus notes. Nice prominent malt flavour with some balanced bitterness. Palate isn’t very complicated, but a good quaffable lager.

Bottled at Bishop’s Arms, Skellefteå. Hazy pale golden, mid sized head. Citric grapefruity nose. Dry and crisp with light body. Bready slender malt under a blanket of citric hops. Mid bitter finish. Nicely drinkable modern style lager.

Re-rated 330ml bottle, drunk on a train. Bucketloads of sweet caramel malt and biscuits dominate, with a slight bitterness. In fact it tastes exactly like the smell you get when you walk past the brewery. Gets a little too sweet towards the end, but still a good lager with a nice bold taste.

Tap at Craft Beer Clerko, 26/06/13. Clear pale blonde with a thin white head that dissipates to the edge. Nose is pale malt, grass, grain, cereals, clean smelling. Taste comprises cornflakes, light citrus notes, grass, toasted malts. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, crisp finish. Ok.

Bottle. Pours greenish yellow with a small white head. Fresh, citrusy taste with notes of elderberries and a clean maltiness. Lacks a bit of "personality".

Very hazy pale gold beer, little white head. Softish airy palate with a sharply crisp trailing edge. Light creamy malt. Brief lemon citrus note. Minerals. Mild lager malt. Crispy minerally finish. Fresh and refreshing. Would be great if it could sustain the citrus. Whisper of banana ester.

Keg at The Old Fountain Beer Festival, October 2012. Pours mostly clear yellow with a tight, white cream head. Rich cereal and bread in the nose, some cornflakes. Light to medium sweet flavor, big cereal character, faint hay, more cornflakes. Medium bodied with average, creamy carbonation. Clead, bready finish with light straw bitterness, dough. I could drink this guy by the bucket. Nice crispy cereal aftertaste.

On tap at Old Fountain. Unclear pale gold thon white head. Pretty decent. I like the hops. Went well with the hot salt beef sandwich.
