Cask at the Claret. It pours clear rich brown with a decent off-white head. The aroma is earthy, twiggy, leather, toasted nuts and light spice. The taste is bitter, earth, dirt, quite spicy, twig, mild astringency, cereal and toast with a drying finale. Medium body and fine carbonation. Good condition, but the beer is pretty underwhelming. Meh.

On tap at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell as Kings Heritage Brighton Best. Amber with a loose white head; malty aroma; rather thin with a sweet malty taste with some caramel; and a biscuity finish with some light hops. A servicable malt-led bitter.

One-third pint, gravity cask at The Great British Beer Festival 2013, day 3. Bubbly ring to the rim of the glass. Clear amber coloured body. Fruit caramel on the nose. Joint flavour profile of leafy hops and mid-sweet caramel, lightly jam impression. Plain bitter endnotes. On par with the style (London Olympia 15.08.2013).

Cask at The Cleveland Arms, London. Pours clear, pure gold with a small, creamy white head. Doughy malts in the nose with definite diacetyl. Light to medium sweet flavor, doughy, lightly buttery, some mild straw bitters. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Light sweet finish, a good deal of buttery biscuits and bread. A bit off in terms of condition it seems.
