Hazy orange. Very intense aroma. The Citra and Amarillo are particularly distinct. Very thick and oily with gentle carbonation. Flavour is full of oily hops. Despite the hoppy intensity it’s not overly bitter. Lemon and tangerine citrus linger in the finish. Leaves a warming afterglow.

Bottle thanks to Beersiveknown, cheers Steve. Deep cloudy orange with a thin head, ok lacing. Aroma is mandarin. Flavour is basically a jar of little chip marmalade, with a kick. Alcohol mutes the hops a bit, long warming sticky toasted jam finish.

Keg at Free Trade Inn, Newcastle Upon Tyne, Byker. Wednesday 30th September 2014. Pours orange amber, heavy consistency, a little like watery syrup, slight haze and white head. Very thick in mouth a huge IPA, massive. Sweet but very hoppy, bitterness follows, tasty sweet orange marmalade, good. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov14 3.7

Keg @ Port Street Beer House, Manchester. Very happy to see this on tap after missing out on the gold rush for the bottles! This is immense. Precisely what I expected Unhuman Cannonball to be like. First sip presents a huge lime hit with peach melba, mango and pine bringing up the rear with a touch of juicy pineapple. An awesome beer.

7th September 2014
Hazy amber beer, tidy pale cream colour head. Palate is smooth and very slightly viscous. Good fine carbonation. Smooth malts, light cream and unsweet toffee. Hops are skunky piney and bring hop spice. Some drying alcohol here but no real heat. Trace of citrus. Smooth semi dry finish. Spice lingers on. Huge DIPA, more TIPA I would suggest! Smooth and pretty drinkable. Nice job! 3.7

Craft Tottenham Court Road. Keg. A novelty to have half a pint of such a strong English beer. Pretty much the same as bottle but having a half emphasises how ridiculously drinkable this is. Very well done.

Bottle at the Red Squirrel. Appearance - golden with a proportionate head. Nose - massive apricots and canned mandarin. Lots of hop resin. Taste - again massive tangy apricot with just a touch of toffee lurking in the background. Palate - full bodied with a big rich tangy texture and a long tangy finish that ismmostly dry but because of the strength there is some sweetness too. Overall - I appreciate how well this has been constructed but it doesn’t leave me wanting more.

Bottle at home. It hazy amber with thick off-white head. The juicy, pine, tropical fruits, mango, tangerine, candied peel, honey, Irn Bru and brioche. The taste is bitter-sweet, pine, resinous, juicy orange, grapefruit, tangerine, mango, varnish, candied peel, alcohol warmth, pepper, honey, with a lingering bitter, dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. A punchy bitter-sweet juicy bastard of a beer. Pretty impressive stuff!

Bottle from Cornelius. Hazy amber body with a thick off-white head. Excellent lacing. Punchy aroma of pineapple, mango, honey and a hint of toasted coconut. Flavour of sweet resin, grenadine, boozy orange, caramel and lemon. Medium body with a sticky mouthfeel. Very faint carbonation. Potent hop juice, verging into Barley Wine territory. I feel lucky to have enjoyed this just 14 days after it was bottled.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; clear light copper pour with a creamy off white head, big fresh pine and grapefruit aroma, taste has pine, caramel, bitter grapefruit, mango, nettles, a hint of green tea, tangerine, oily mouthfeel, alcohol is present but not in your face, dangerously easy to drink for the almost 14% ABV
