Well made but too much crystal.

Draught at Marshall Wharf, 8/1/15.
Clear golden body has a good amount of moderately well-retained, white head atop.
Spicy, almost sprucey hops in the nose also reveal some very light tropical fruits (dry mango) and a good amount of juicy fullness. Sweet malts balance, or nearly overbalance and there’s a touch of alcohol to the nose.
Sweet, but with plentiful, balancing bitterness in the flavor. Woody-like hops, with a smattering of pine, oranges and some more lighthearted juicy fruits towards the end. Good, if a bit aggressive. Clean, ample carbonation with a full body and malty texture.

Draft at GBBF 2013 - London. Pours clear gold with a light, white froth. Nose has alcohol and dry melon. Medium to big sweet flavour with pale bread, alcohol, oily hops, mandarin orange. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Oily and resinous to finish with moderate alcohol warmth and bitter citrus rind. So so.

Cask at GBBF 2013. It pours clear golden yellow with a small white head. The nose is wood, apricot, peach and a touch of sweetness. The taste is smooth, sweet apricot, peach, nectarine, wood, caramel, honey, peppery and a decent alcohol kick. Medium body and fine carbonation. Not as punchy as I hoped for and the alcohol is all too obvious.

GBBF Day 1. Light haze on this gold beer. Tidy bubbly white head. Palate is smooth and a little dry, fine carbonation. Rich tangy hops - sourish orange with a lemony finish. Light floralness. Light malt base. Comes together really well. Love the juicy fruits from the hops.
