It’s a toad not a frog! Unmistakable citrus and floral notes from only the best American Cascade hops balanced with a crisp dry finish make this straw coloured ale a fantastic session beer. All that flavour in a 3.6%.

Cask at the Victoria Inn, Rugby, 06/03/13. Lightly hazed golden amber with a thin off white head. Nose is light hops, pale malt, grass, citrus, sugars. Taste follows nose with a touch of spice. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, light bitterness in the finish. Ok stuff.

[500ml bottle, gift from my wonderful wife - cheers!] Pours light amber with a moderate, creamy off-white head. Floral hops to the fore, with a bit of caramel behind. Bitterness is a little on the heavy side and is in danger of overwhelming the flavour. A little sticky in the finish which is once again floral and bitter. Pleasant enough, if a little one dimensional.

Bottle from Viti’s, Vancouver, at 4.5% ABV, bb 03/12/11
Beautiful golden color, hazy; small head. The aroma is malty, breadish, with notes of toffee, very nice. Lean body, dry mouthfeel, with a very good, toffeish, malt flavor; strong hopping, with a lot of hop oils, and with a citrusy bite, more English than Cascade-like. Strong bitterness and long final.
Excellent, humble, very pleasant.

cask at Guildford Arms - Pours golden with a lasting white head and smells of citrus, bread, and pale malt. The flavor is of sweet, bready malt with mild bitterness. It’s creamy and pretty average, but hey, it has a funny name.

Cask @ Crystal Palace. Golden colour, short off-white head. Aroma is hoppy, a bit soapy. Flavour is fairly hoppy soft malty, some biscuit, slightly dry, fairly bitter finish. Ok beer.

50cl bottle from Asda, High Wycombe. Bright amber with a ring of white head; and the strong grapefruit aroma I associate with Cascade hops. Viscous and oily in texture, and full of resinous hops with a residual sweetness. Very assertive - I really like it, but I can see that others might not.
