Would have missed this if Keen Massey hadn’t given me a drop of his, thought this was the same as the bottles I bought! As per the bottle a strong tasting but smooth barleywine with a touch of brandy spirit. Cheers Keen!

Gravity Dispense at Pig’s Ear BF, London - 05/12/12. Almost clear golden with a very thin white head that soon clears to the edge. Nose is malty, boozey, light diacetyl buttery shit kicking off, slightly medicinal notes. Taste comprises dark caramel, toffee, booze. Full bodied, smooth on the palate with little carbonation, warming alcohol in the finish.

Cask at Pigs Ear BF 2012, London. Pours clear gold with very little head. Big doughy bread malt aroma, hints of buttery biscuits. Big sweet flavor with definite alcohol, light butterscotch, alcohol-soaked fruits, white bread. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly warming to finish with moderate alcohol notes, light berries and a bit more doughy white bread. Enjoyable.
