A decadent stout, inspired by the special British ales exported to the Russian Court, during the 18th century. It is black and viscous like crude oil from the oil fields in the Caspian Sea. The flavor is dominated by dark notes of burnt sugar, spicy hops and smokiness from peaked malt.

Bottle split at Chriso Easter tasting, 04/04/15. Pitch black with a decent tan covering. Nose is rich chocolate, spice, earthy roast, toffee. Taste comprises dark fruit notes, chocolate, molasses, toffee fudge, peppery spice, toasted brown sugar. Medium + body, fine carbonation, drying close. No game changer but a decent enough impy.

Bottle, 10%. Fat vanilla aroma, turning quite heavily smokey. Black colour. Good stable creamy brown colour. The flavour is very sweet and very roasted. Has a good smokey note and a sweet hoppiness giving a syrupy, jammy flavour. Rather bittersweet and good. Very late raw liquorice aftertaste.
