Cask at the Wandsworth Common Spring BF, London. Pours clear, golden-brown with a foamy, bubbly white head. Toast, dough and light toffee aroma. Light to medium sweet flavor, lightly earthy with toasty toffee and faint, leathery fruit. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Good condition. Decent bitter bite to finish with toasty wood, dirt and leaves, toasty toffee, hints of honey and dark sugar. Very good. What I expect of a mild.

(Cask at Edgar Wallace, Strand, London, 18 April 2012) Very dark brown colour with foamy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of coffee, dark chocolate and dried fruit. Malty, roasted taste with coffee, chocolate, raisins, prunes, gentle liquorice hints and a decent roasty bitterness. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Quit a nice and tasty mild.

Hand pulled cask, half pint at Bon Accord. Tiny, beige head to an almost rosewood coloured body. Roasted dark malts to the nose, as well as a bready touch. Roasted dark malty flavour featuring liquorice and herbal hops. Rounded malt bitter ending. Well made mild (Glasgow, 11.04.2012).

Cask at Wandsworth Beer Festival, March 2012. It pours reddish-amber, with a tiny beige head. The nose is leather, wood, cardboard, biscuit and dry roast. The taste is very dry, leather, wood, charcoal, roasted malt and a hint of dark fruit, with a long, very dry finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Not much to it at all.

Cask handpull at The Berry, Walmer. Very dark brown, lasting thin beige head. Very decent mild. Yes, good malts, not overly roasty, just a good blend of malts. And it is mild and malty and weell put together. Good.

Chestnut brown. Lightly toasty aroma. Toast vs. butter on the palate. Not terribly complex or exciting.
