A British version of the American IPA style.
In order to replicate the East India Pale Ales of the past we have produced a limited kilning of East India Malt. High quality low nitrogen barley has been traditionally floor malted as with the original East India Malts. Kilning temperature specifications and final malt colour have been closely adhered to.

Flaske 500ml på Tuckers Maltings, Newton Abbot 27 Sep 16. Delt med Rune. Hissig! Gyldenbrun. Skummet daler sakte. Litt lacing. Lett, god appelsinaroma. Smaken klementiner. God fylde. Svakt syrlig bitter etter hvert. Utmerket øl - men kanskje litt søt. Svakt uklar siste kvelling. Litt bunnfall.

500ml bottle shared with Finn at Tuckers Maltings Visitor Centre. Spotty lacing from a white head. Warm golden body, clear. Sweet aroma of dried fruits. Raisin, figs and ripe citrus to the taste buds. Mid-dry, bittersweet finish. Medium bodied. Nice, a tad too sweet in the long run (Newton Abbot 27.09.2016).

500ml bottle from Tuckers Maltings. Golden amber colour, big foamy white head leaving lacing and aroma of malt, grain, floral & fruity. Taste is sweetish malty, with fruity, citrus, apricot & yeast notes, some spice and bitterness. Slightly oily mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft to medium carbonation, dry peppery bitter finish. Quite drinkable.

Sampled @ GBBF day 2 as Teignworthy Indian Pale Ale. Clear orange color, small white head. Smell and taste are not what I hope for in an IPA. Too sweet, too much fruits you don’t want like apple for instance, and not really balanced imo. Don’t like it.
