Bag in a box at Firkin Alehouse Folkestone. Clear pale gold no head. Apple pie and custard aroma. Sweet in mouth. Too sweet. OK but sweet you can almost taste the sugar. A little bit of pear flesh in the flavour

Mini Box @ The Abbey. Pours clear pale, light fruity nose, taste is oily, slick, with soft pear light apple fruit, a little sticky sweet, not particularly vibrant or clear. Easy-drinking I guess, juicy.

[First rating, 4/10/16, RB 4/1/6/3/10 (2.4)] Keg at the Greyfriar, Reading. Extremely pale yellow, like tap water that someone waved an elderflower at. From a distance. Smells of nail varnish remover and pear drops. Taste is tinned pear and sugar. It’s generally sweet; there is a little apple skin dryness but not anywhere near enough to balance the sugar. It’s not great, but it’s drinkable. [Second rating, 13/7/18, RB 7/2/7/3/13 (3.2)] Draught at the Outlook, Reading. Hazy pale yellow. Sweet tinned pear juice with a little tannic skin and - oddly - some dried parmesan. Enjoyed this a lot more than the previous time I had it. Don't know why. Never quite got the hang of ciders and perries; sometimes I like them and sometimes I don't. This was one of the "like" times! Entered score is the average of all ratings.

Keg at the estcourt arms Watford. Very pale petrol yellow colour with a short lived fine white head. Aroma is fairly fresh fruit, apple and slightly sweet. Some spicy notes, cheesey in the nose. Flavour is fairly bright fruit, semi sweet, tart note and some bile in the finish. Some apple core, woody. Fine carbonation and semi sweet. Average.

Keg at Bedford Arms, Bedford. Moonlight yellow and sparkling. Smells of apples, a trifle synthetic. Taste comes through clear and sweet, with the bitter tang of apple peel. This is classed as a perry, but is actually a cider/perry hybrid, and one which favours the apple at that.
