Spoons Fest! Clear gold beer, tiny white head. Low carbonation, smooth palate. Sweetish aromatic Nelson hops - presenting here as mildy grapey, a trace of pine as well. Sweetish dry malt backs it up. A trace of bubblegum in the aftertaste. Not bad but was hoping for something a bit more exciting. A little tepid overall.

[Cask at the Hope Tap (JDW), Reading] Very pale amber, slight off-white head. Huge tropical fruit (passion fruit, white grape and lychee) to the fore, but then itβs slightly ruined by a touch of sulphur and some unripe notes. A little gingery spice comes through at the end. Rather on the watery side, but a very interesting beer nevertheless.

Cask at the Claude Du Vall (JDW), Camberley. Amber with a loose off white head; attractive aroma of apricots and Belgian yeast; rather thinly bodied with a sweet, fruity apricot flavour; and a gently spiced finish. A Belgian Ale that I could actually manage more than a single pint of!

From cask at Standing Order. Pours hazy orange with a small white head, creamy dense head. Aroma is fruity and sweet. Rather fruity hoppy and mild yeasty fruity notes mixed into this. Fruity and hoppy bitter finish.

Cask at The Alexander Graham Bell, JDW, Edinburgh, in the company of Craig, Jan, Charlotte & Loz, 29.10.10 Pours mid gold with a white foamy head. There is yeast, grapefruit, pineapple and furniture polish on the nose. Missing a bit of ooomph in the mouth this still comes across as rather good, pineapple cubes, some bitterness and yeast in particular are showing well. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6

Cask handpull at Thomas Ingoldsby, JDW, Canterbury. Brown/gold, thin off white head. Well itβs clearly got Nelson Sauvin hoops. Lovely N. Sauvin aroma. A little sweetness. Rather lovely I thought. It all fits well together. Good stuff. Maybe could be in better nick. But hops are lovely
