Cask@William IV, London. Hazy yellow colour, small white head. Aroma is fruits, nectar, some wood and mild sappy notes. Flavour is fruity, floral and grassy hops with some wooden, dry, notes. Also some slight earthyness. Not all too much wheat to be found...

On cask at The The Crosse Keys, Covent Garden, London, 04.06.11 Pours gold with a slim white head. Soft light citrus touch of biscuit, Ian felt that there was too much butterscotch, diacetyl, I can’t say that I coud pick this up as much as Ian but after a while I noticed this more. It certainly lacked crispness and wasn’t as clean or as refreshing as one might expect losing some of the more usual wheat beer characteristics. A6 A3 T6 P3 Ov11 2.9

(Cask at Cross Keys, Covent Garden, London, 22 May 2011) Cloudy yellow colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, wheaty nose with lemon, grapefruit, grass and hints of soap. Fruity, wheaty taste with notes of grass, lemon, a slightly soapy wheat character and a citric bitterness in the finish. Rather thin body, with balanced sweetness. Not really my kind of beer, but decent and quite refreshing.

At the brewpub in Leyton. Cloudy gold beer, residual white head. Light palate, low carbonation. Bitterish grapefruit with some other fruit that must be the Dragon Fruit. Trace of hop bitterness as well. Semi dry finish. Like the flavours here but the body lacks condition or substance or both. Didn’t stop me having another though! Nice!
