750mL bottle about 2 years old. Aroma is surprisingly nice with moderate acidity, light fruit and faint phenolics. Fruit is citrus, tropical fruit, cherry and overripe apples. Not really any malt character. Moderate tannins compliment the acidity and fruit notes. Pours a copper orange with a thin, light tan head that quickly disappears. No lacing or legs. Flavor is moderately tart with a lot of cherry pie and pineapple. Some light fruit esters and low tannins. Malt character is washed out and unpleasant with stale cardboard and old toasted bread. Low bitterness and faint alcohol notes. Mouthfeel Is medium bodied with medium low carbonation. Low astringency and medium low alcohol warmth. Overall the aroma is very nice, but the flavor doesn’t match expectations. The flavor tastes like a beer that started out with a light acidity and a balanced Maly character, but the acidity had been increasing while the malt has faded. With more time maybe the malt fades completely, but with this amount of time its not great.

Bottle @ Exira Beer Summit IV. Thanks to Dr. Owl for sending. Pours a cloudy, dark reddish orange appearance with a lasting cream colored. Somewhat floral, dark grape, berry, plum, a touch vinous, slight blueberry pie, a bit funky aroma. A bit tangy, tannic/woody, dark berry, light caramel, funky, grape flavor. Kind of twangy. Not my favorite.

Bottle thanks to a trade. Pours a clear candied red apple color with a near white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a sweet fruit (mainly red fruit) with a hint of flora and a bit of a earthy yeast note. Flavor has a very medicinal red fruit note with a bit of sweetness but overall a bit unpleasant.

A nice amber saison with a thick forthy lacing light mocha head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with light mineral notes, chalky, light flowers. In mouth, a sweet malt reminiscent of a biere de garde with powdery texture, a bit chalky, so-so. Tasted Dec. 24 2012.

Cloudy red amber beer. Crispy palate. Sour fruity nose. Sourish medicinal taste with a sharp tang. Bitter coca cola and herbal notes. Not getting much Hibiscus and no idea what the Palmetto berries are contributing. Slighty odd and sour Saison.

750 ml corked and caged bottle. 2009 vintage. Damn, I was hoping for something fresher. Didn’t know it was two years old til I took the cap off and saw the year printed on the cork. Pours a cloudy dark orange with a medium-large beige head; collapses into a thin film fairly quick. Aroma is barnyard funk, earth, floral. Taste is sweet and sour, a bit meaty in the finish. Tastes its age. Carbonation is medium-high and the body is medium-full. Decent. Re-rate: gotta lower my appearance score. Beer loses all traces of head and foam completely 2/3 of the way through the first glass. In my second glass, the head fizzes out in a loud cacophany of bubbles, looking completely flat in about two seconds.

Bottled at RBESG 2010 Grand Tasting. An unclear red beer with a huge lazing orangey head. The aroma has notes of malt and peaches as well as lots of spices. The flavor has notes of brettanomyces, lacto, fruit, and unfermented malt, leading to a dry and lightly tart finish.

Sampled at Tap House in Oldsmar, on Feb 1, 2011Slight bit hazy copper color, tan head. Sweet, apple, acidic, alcohol scent. Fruity, bitter, alcohol taste. Moussy mouthfeel, low bitterness.

Bottle thanks to cmillward: Poured a deep orange with white head. Aroma is think of floral and pungent sourness to the nose. Taste is very sour and bitter with more floral and some malt.
