Bottle at Craft Beer Rising 2014 - London. Pours clear amber-brown with a creamy, off-white head. Quite basic overall. Some sugary brown bread character, light ripe fruits, subtle earthy hops. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Decent balance in the finish, with lightly toasted and spicy pine, more sweet bready malts. OK stuff on the whole.

Bottled (from some shop in Tallinn). Ambery brown colour with a mediumsized foamy head. Aroma is caramel, some sweet nuts, quite rich on the hoppy side as well. Flavour is floral, some wooden notes, mild nutty and caramelly notes with a mellow bitterness. Nicely hopped brown ale.

Bottle at Artisan Tap, Bedford. Chestnut brown and very translucent. Looks very thin. Hazelnut, browned toast, mocha, dash of root beer. Sweet taste with bitter edges leading to a satisfyingly bitter finish. Thin palate but the full-on carbonation feels pleasant. I like this quite a lot.

Bottle, gift from Mum & Dad- cheers! Brown with a thin beige head. Rather too fizzy. Chocolate and lemon at first, then praline and berries follow. A hint of alcohol and metal. Definite blackcurrant and a little wood in the finish. Lightly dry and a little sticky with just a smidgen of bitterness. Quite liked this.
