Cask handpull at County Hotel Ashford jdw. Clear gold lasting white head. Some light citrus pink grapefruit aroma. It’s a decent golden ale. Neutral yeast. Some dryness on finish. OK.

Cask at the Hope Tap, Reading. Golden-amber with a thick cream head. Grapefruit dominates with a little apricot and pine coming through behind. Crisp finish and refreshing. Decent beer actually if a little one-dimensional, but there’s so many like this around these days that it just feels a bit "same again" ish. A hint of Waddys yeast in the aftertaste does provide some interest but not enough to make it stand out.

Cask at the Bear (JDW), Maidenhead. Amber with a loose white head; fresh lemony grapefruit aroma; floral citrus taste, lemon and grapefruit; pleasantly bitter - not too sharp; and a clean, crisp finish. Rather good - much better than I was expecting from Wadworth’s.

Angel Spoons. Cask. Light haze on this yellow - gold beer, decent off white head. Palate is smooth and dry with good fine carbonation. Dry pale malts. A whisper of sulphur. Fairly strong floral bitterness with just a touch of lemony citrus. Dry crisp finish. A little harsh but fine.
