Bottle, 6.5%. Weak creamy, fruity liquorice aroma. Almost black colour, small light brown head. Very nice and quite flavourful, roasted, creamy coffee with liquorice aftertaste. Hint of yeast.

RBESG08 grand tasting. Ahh the Johnny Cash of beer. That line made me laugh. Poured a very murky dark red colour with a small tan head. Perfumey malty nose, notes of.. american? hops. Taste is dominated by aroma hops that show up in front of a lightly roasty malty body. Again, quite light for a IS but quite tasty.

Draught at the Rover, Göteborg
Black color; creamy head. The aroma is not strong, with some paper and roasted malt, dusty. It has a quite round mouthfeel in the front, quite smooth, with good roasted malt flavor, some sourness from it too. In the final it’s less bodied. Good, but not impressive.

50 cL bottle. Pours dark brown with a small redish glare and a lacing tan head. Chocolate and roasted malt aroma. Mild hops fruity note too. Light to medium body. Solid liqourice flavour with a mild acidic roasted note. Bitterness mixing with the liqourice into the finish. Nice one.

(Draught at Pikkulintu on 2008-04-18) Deep dark brown. Small tan head. Full palate with some fizziness. At the beginning, hoppy taste which becomes overrun by almost burned malt. Some sweet liquorice in taste, too.

(Draught at Glenfiddich Warehouse no 68, Stockholm, 4 April 2008) Very dark brown colour with frothy, pale brown head. Malty, roasted nose with dark fruit and roasted coffee, slightly vinous. Malty taste with notes of chocolate, coffee, dark fruit, more chococlate and a balanced whiff of coffee bitterness in the finish. Medium body, smooth mouthfeel. Slightly thinner and more fruity than most imperial stouts, but still a very nice brew.
