750 from Monument in Concord, CA. Pours fairly ruby with a decent, foamy tan head. Definite sour fruit aroma. Medium body with mild carbonation. There’s a lot of oak. There’s a lot of fruit. It’s much more sour than not. It’s very delicious, but I don’t think it’s complex, unless the fruit aspects can be split out. If you like sour, but not a lot of it, this is a good one. If you like a lot of sour, it’s still a good one.

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has of fruits and cherries with an acidic edge. The flavor is sweet and acidic with notes of fruits and cherries, leading to a dry acidic finish. Thanks omhper for sharing.

Pours deep brown into a snifter. Bubbles quickly recedes to hug rim. Sour cherry and dark grape aromas. Tart and spritzy with dark sour pit fruit upfront, turning a little hot in the lasting oak finish.

Bottle, big big thanks to Julian. Tart wooden berrylike aroma. Cloudy red brown, very fine carbonation. Wooden start, berries, a bit pepper. Dry on the palate. Mellow, light sparkly. Very well balanced and extremely drinkable.

750 ml bottle from Liquid Solutions (BN 00276). Nose of tartness, big oak, and raspberries. Cloudy dark rust with a big beige head. Flavor is lightly tart, with some light, contrasting, candi sugar sweetness, and caramel. Not overly sour, but pretty nice.

courtesy of Tony @ OTH Pours hazy copper, with thin and quickly disappearing white head. Aroma had a strong sour profile. Taste, sour, funky, some fruits. The sour really comes forward with the strong abv of the beer. Stingy mouthfeel of wood barrel with vinegary cherry notes.

Good, but not the best year for this beer. cloudy, dark orange appearance. Some yeast in the aroma with citrus. Flavor has some fruit, yeast, and is somewhat sour. Also quite dry.

Bottle from Allen, thanks! Reddish brown color, hazy. Grapes in the vinous aroma, together with apple and oak. It smells like a matured Rodenbach. Malty, sour flavor. Grapes, oak, apple, red fruit. Full bodied and very complex ale. The 11% ABV is totally unnoticed. Amazing beer!
