(Cask at Angleterre, 20140702) The beer poured pale golden and clear. Its head was small and white. Aroma had fruitiness, citricness and mildly malts. Palate was medium bodied with low carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, sweetness, toffee, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was grassy and bitter. A decent hoppy bitter.

Hand-pulled pint on 22nd April 2014 in Ye Olde Fighting Cocks, Oakengates. Pale golden body with a white crown that gave some good lacing. I found it dry and hoppy with a trace of citrus notes in both the aroma and taste. Refreshing and light on the tongue, not really my thing, but it was fine and I can see why others around me were waxing lyrical about it.

Cask @ Wellington Arms. Bright light to mid-gold in colour. Aroma waxed lemon, grapefruit and seawater.taste is bitter, perhaps too bitter, with very little let-up. A bit of salt and astringency show up to the party as well. Not terribly shabby but I wouldn’t go for this again.

Cask at the Albion, Winchester. Pale amber with a ring of loose cream head; aroma of tropical fruits and pineapple; soft and grainy and rather thin with a citrusy taste, perhaps sweet grapefruit; then a dry and biscuity finish. Yet another grapefruit blone - my second today.
