Cask at The George, Lower Brailles, Warwickshire, on our Morris dance out on St Georges Day 23-04-09 Called A Knights Ale in this pub which is actually named after St George as opposed to a former monarch I was informed by the landlord and landlady last night. Poured gold with a white head. Decent enough session ale, quite fruity and drying towards the end, a reasonable hop presence. A6 A4 F6 P3 Ov12 3.1

(Cask at Penderel’s Oak JDW, Holborn, London, 15 Apr 2009) Amber colour with brief head. Malty, fruity nose with orange peel, dried fruit and hints of dusty hops. Malty, slightly nutty taste with notes of orange peel, biscuits and a decent citrussy bitterness in a finish with slightly dusty hops. A decent, well made bitter.

Cask handpull at Society Rooms, JDW, Maidstone. Egg and cheese mayo sandwich on the aroma. Not too good to be honest, but some Hook Norton yeast character does save it somewhat.
