Cask at the Evening Star, Brighton on 9th December 2009. Clear gold with diminishing head of foam. Slightly sweet malt aroma then sharply hoppy with notes of pepper and spice. Citric astringency becoming more prevalent in the finish which is rather clinging with a slightly viscous mouthfeel. An interesting beer.

(Cask at Carpenter’s Arms, Marylebone, London, 9 Aug 2009) Copper colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of biscuity malt, apricots, dusty hops and possibly a touch of butterscotch. Malty taste with biscuity malt, fruit and slightly dusty hops in the finish. Light body, fairly dry. Drinkable but not impressive. Not really sure about the condition though.

[500ml bottle from Tescos, Aylsham, Norfolk] Gold with orange hints and no head. Fizzy, but it works. Very floral and hoppy, with some citrus hints behind. Dry, floral finish. Nice!
