Spoons Spring Fest 2025 - bitter hoppy and malty with notes of caramel, herbal twiggy hoppy notes, light to medium body, malty finish.

Fairly sweet, some lightly toasted malts, grain, berries, mild toffee accents, minimal bitterness. Light bodied, OK condition. Uninspiring.

Cask handpull at County Hotel JDW Ashford. Clear deep amber colour lasting off white head. Some malt. Some rice pudding flavour. Malty. Some hop. Some dryness on the finish. Not for me. Not sure what this is. Don't care for the aroma flavour condition or finish. Can't finish a half pint

Beer Number 26 at the Wetherspoon Spring Beer Festival 2025, leaving 2 of 30 still untried plus both the two variations of the already tried in name, which have also been sampled in this fest. Solid enough bitter with a little bit of hoppiness to go with it.

Growler fill from the brewery taproom. Pours clear deep golden with a thin white head. Aromas of biscuit, toffee and nuts. Taste adds the red fruit. Light bitter, nutty finish. Nice.

Cask at the Back of Beyond (JDW), Reading. Deep amber with a cream-coloured bead. Rich toffee and Hovis biscuits with blackberry jam coming through along with a touch of Christmas cake. Smooth and flavourful. Best beer of the night.

Cask at London & North Western, Birmingham. Pours dark copper with minimal off-white head and good lacing. There’s malts and caramel in the aroma plus some nutty hints. In the mouth it is slightly bitter with a creamy texture. Flavour has toffee, biscuits, malts and berry fruits with traces of nuts coming later. Fruit lasts into the finish. This is quite nice.
