Pale yellow in color and naturally conditioned in the bottle, the beer may be poured cloudy by gently swirling the last few inches to rouse the natural yeast sediment. Alternatively, clear beer can be decanted carefully leaving the yeast behind. Either way serve cool in a tall glass for a superbly refreshing wheat beer of character and individuality. Only natural ingredients are used including our own supply of exceptionally soft Cornish spring water. Malted wheat produces a beer with a citrus tang which has been delicately flavoured with whole spices and vanilla. The combination of flavors is brought alive by gently sweetening with pure organic maple syrup.
Ingredients: Maris Otter pale malt, whaet malt. Willamette hops. Vanilla pods, cloves, coriander, maple syrup.

50cl bottle from Tesco’s, Camberley. A clear amber pour, even after swirling the bottle; wheaty aroma with a touch of honey (or maybe maple syrup?); grainy body with some coriander and lemon flavours, and perhaps a hint of vanilla; then a dry finish with some warmth.

Bottle. Slightly hazy yellow-golden. Vaguely wheaty, with hints of vanilla and light spiciness. Generally spicy character, but finishes with citrus and a light vanilla-accented sweetness. Not bad for an English wheat beer.

500 ml bottle conditioned, from Selfridge’s food store, London. ABV is 4.8%. Clear golden / yellow colour (not clouded at all), large white head. Fairly strong and nice aroma of grassy and herbal hops, also spices. The flavour is spicy and herbal, but not overdone - still quite interesting. Fairly light bodied and easy drinking.

500ml bottle from The Bottle Shop, Canterbury. Seems crazy that I’ve never had this beer. Deepish gold with slight haze and lasting bubbly white head. Aroma of cereal, spices and some estery notes. First beer of the day on a Saturday early evening after a heavy night on the beers on Friday. So I’m a little delicate. Not overly firm in the mouth. Some hoppy spiciness on the finish. As I say, some esters last all the way through. Bit fizzy in the mouth too and does have some ginger flavour on the swallow. OK, but not something I would run out and buy again.

Bottled. A hazy golden beer with an orangey head. The aroma is sweet with notes of citrus as well as lighter notes of wheat. The flavor is sweet wheaty combined with notes of citrus, leading to a dry wheaty finish.
