Nice light red pour in glass. Nose is fresh cherries. When tasted hot it tastes like warm cherry pie. If rerated today, I’d probably rate it around a 3.8. Rated 2/28/03 This beer is 1000x better aged. We popped open a 2002 vintage today and it tastes like Christmas. Lots of cinnamon and spices. Definitely worth the original rating I gave it now.

Sampler from bottle at Glunz beer Expo, April 5. Light, spicy smell. Not so much licorice, but more like horehound. Little to no carbonation (but the bottle may have sat open for a while). Okay, some fizzy texture, but no visible bubbles. Reddish-brown, but clean with no haze. Tart, but not sour cherry taste. I pick up a little cinnamon and nutmeg, actually, too. The pourer said "orange peel," so now I pick up that impression. Very nice dessert beer.

750mL bottle split two ways, from Bottleworks (in Seattle), served warm. Very strong aroma of cherries that explodes out of the bottle upon uncorking it. Pours a bright dark red with a small head - little carbonation. Flavour of sour cherries, with hints of honey and vanilla. 8% ABV is barely detectable. Wonderful beer.

Cherry lifesaver aroma with hints of lime. Clear garnet, completely headless. Tastes just like a cherry lifesavers and boysenberries, more sweet than tart. Alcohol is there, but very tasteful. Kiss of crabapple in the finish. Drinks a bit like a cherry lambic. Very neat beer!

750 ml 2002 bottle sampled both four and eight years old. Deep reddish brown/mahogany body with almost no head. Strong aroma of sweet cherries and acid. Flavor of sweet and matured cherries in combination with a more refreshing blackcurrant flavor. Full bodied, both sweet and acidic in a very fine and balanced way. This is really complex stuff, love it.

Bottled (thanks to whoever I got this fro.). Reddish amber colour, not much head. Aroma is semisour cherries witth some caramel and mild acidic notes. Flavvour is cherries, wood, some mild spices and some sweetih notes, I am actually lost for words on this thing. So much more I could describe, but enormously close to really love lambics....

Deep ruby color, no head. Tart cherry aroma, a bit like Vermuth. Liquerish palate. Cherry, vanilla, candy ... delicious and mellow dessert beer. Some tartness also in the flavor. Excellent.

Bottle. Poured a hazy ruby red with minimal reddish head. Aroma was full of cherries both tart and sweet. Flavor was more like juice and was quite sweet. Went down very smoothly.

24th August 2008. Well I didn’t know about drinking this hot! Doh! Hazy red brown beer. Very low carbonation. Sweet cherries but not sugary. Undertone of honey. Smooth with a smooth cherry finish. Very agreeable. Not sickly sweet, not acidic, very easy drinking. Wonder if it’s even better hot?!!

Bottle shared by Kiapepito. Nose of lightly tart cherries with a hint of yeast. Clear, Santa Rosa plum red with very little head. Flavor is lightly sweet cherries with a background hint of tart . Nestled in the background is some nutmeg spiciness.
