A fresh, unfiltered brew perfect for lazy summer days. Our Wahoo White is brewed with unfiltered, un-malted wheat and oats that give it a distinctive cloudy complexity. True to the Belgian tradition, this Witbier boasts a refreshing, citrusy flavor thanks to the orange peel and coriander we add to the boil. This makes Wahoo an ideal beer for year-round beach weather.

Bottle @ Armin’s house. Somewhat cloudy, light yellow appearance with a white head. Somewhat spicy, coriander, a touch tart lemon/orange, effervescent, sweet wheat malty aroma. Tangy yeasty, spicy bready, unmalted wheat, tangy citrusy flavor. A bit above average.

From an old bomber. Pour is simply very good looking with its foaming sparkling brew and rocky head. Clean wheaty in appearance. Lots of gunk on the bottom of this bottle. Lots of good sizzling carbonation on the palate, just like the appearance predicts. In the taste, I suspect there is some orange in there, more so than most wheats I’ve tasted. On the second refill this stuff has a swirling sediment hypnotizing look in the glass. Taste seems to be more than 4% but it never really gets too rude. I wonder why I’ve never tasted this before, it is pretty friendly. Perhaps it was the cost, but on the clearance rack I found this fer $4. Nice picture for a label, interesting. I almost want to say this has a palate like one of my faves; orval! However, I just can’t bring myself to say it. Overall, this was just a simple pleasurable beer drinken experience.

Bomber bought at GBBF 2011 and consumed at home on my last day of my summer holiday, along with a sausage, mayo and cucumber sub I just made myself. The beer is a cloudy pale gold with a lasting white head. Soapy citrus lemon aroma gives a hint that this may be a Belgian wit style wheat beer. And indeed it is a Belgian wit. Fine, ok. Not a bad beer, not overly soapy, but maybe not as much orange peel and spice as I like. Still no off flavours and full enough in the mouth not to leave that horrible cardboard flavour you sometimes get. So in style its pretty good. As a beer? Fine.

22 oz bottle purchased at Lukas in Overland Park, Kansas. Pour is a whitish yellow, cloudy, with a crackling one inch head that falls loosely and quick. Aroma is lemon citrus, grain wheat, and a very mild yeasty clove spice. The taste follows the nose, primarily focused on the wheat with the lemon citrus. The clove is evident briefly in the clean and crisp finish, drying things out a bit. The palate is medium bodied, pleasant unfiltered mouth feel, nice soft natural carbonation. Overall, nice wheat beer.

Pression @ OTH.

On tap at the Brass Tap in Wesley Chapel, FL pouring hazy deep gold with off white head. The aroma is wheat, a light amount of banana and mild yeasty spices. The taste is smooth with wheat, modest smooth sweet banana, spicy hops and spicy yeast. To midway and the finish the yeast seems to coat the tongue with a soft cushion like sensation creating an even smoother experience.

Sample at BP. Body is a light and slightly hazy gold with a medium head and aromas (faint) of lemon, slightly sour wheat and a little grass. Flavor is pretty similar, with a nice refreshing and light mouthfeel.

Tap at Rattle n Hum. Pours a very hazy yellow-gold with a moderate, pure white head. Big aroma of clove and banana. Lots more banana in the flavor, along with a very bready character. Medium body, crisp, refreshing, highly carbonated. Good. Quite deep flavor.
