Many thanks to Nathalie for the bottle! Pours clear dark golden with a lasting, small, foamy, white head. Aroma of ripe mandarin, lime, yellow grapefruit, yeast, toasted white bread, shallot. Taste has sweet mandarin & apple, bitter grapefruit peel, some pine, zesty sour touch on a yeasty & bready malty base. Dry, earthy hoppy finish, lots of citrus & yeast. Medium body, oily texture, fizzy carbonation. Good but a bit too easy-drinking.

Cask at the Railwaymans Arms, Bridgenorth, Shropshire. Poured a crystal clear light amber with a long lasting frothy white head. The aroma is grassy hop, light tropical fruit, light malt. The flavour is moderate to light bitter with a soft, fresh refreshing fruity, light woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. An ideal session ale.

23rd Dec 2014: hand-pulled pint in my local Wetherspoons. Clear golden pour with a deep and lasting white head, good lacing. Nose lead was citrusy hops, grapefruit and orange. Taste also hoppy with a citrus feel to the tropical fruitiness. Light bitterness in the finish and aftertaste.

Cask at the Willow Walk (JDW), Victoria - 24/12/12. Clear pale golden with a decent sized white head that retains well and provides for excellent lacing. Nose carries hops, light grapefruit, orange. Taste follows, hoppy, tropical fruit notes, a little grass. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, nice and smooth on the palate with some bitterness in the finish. Ok drop.

Cask at the Monks Retreat (JDW), Reading. Amber with a thin white head leaving lots of lacing on the glass; grainy aroma; crisp, lemony, taste with a grainy body, and some honey adding to the weight. A pleasant, wintery version of a summer ale.

Cask handpull at County Hotel JDW Ashford. Clear gold with lasting white head. Im in a pretty nihilistic mood so this had better be pretty good or im gonna rip the legs off of it. Its ok. Some interesting fruit flavours. Not much hop. Not really bitter either. Honestly whatever happened to bitter beers? Soft. Safe. Ok bit better than average
