Nice sweet-bitter balance, not too much coconut.

Can from Tavour. Pours dark brown with a decent creamy tan head. Aroma of bourbon and coffee. Arguably full bodied. Not dry and barely bitter. Flavor is bourbon, coffee and dark roast malt. Very smooth. Nearly silky. Chocolate arrives. Not getting any wood astringency. Overall it is very good flavor. Tho for some reason I cannot explain, the coconut escaped me til I thought about it.

Can.
A- Black color, black liquid, brown head.
A- Coconut, chocolate.
F- Coconut, chocolate, sweet.
T- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, cloying finish.
O- Very very sweet. Tastes kind of like a Samoa cookie. Way too much coconut and can't taste any coffee or barrel. Good for a few sips but a very cloying sweetness.

16 oz can. Aroma of coconut, mild roast with a steady amount of bourbon.
Flavor follows with addition of coffee and oak. Molasses traces. Bourbon is not hidden. Yet, not overwhelming and it doesn’t slap you in the face. Slight warming after the sip. It is a nice stout!

Can pour at Fremont - Columbia City, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma has plenty of medium-roast coffee, a hint of coconut, and gentle barrels. Flavour has a nice blend of coffee, gentle coconut, light cocoa, and bourbon. Really nice integration between the coffee and coconut, accentuated nicely by the bourbon. Clearly not an upper tier BA Fremont release but this is very well-made.

Canned 2/19, drunk 7/6/25.
Dark. Probably clear. Large, frothy, lighter-tan head, good retention.
Big fruity coconut with gently spicy bourbon and low coffee/roast. Dark chocolate, lots of nuttiness, light vanilla and definite graham cracker-like character. Not boozey. I'm a tough sell on coconut, but this is authentic and doesn't bludgeon you to death with it.
Nutty, fruity and coconutty with a healthy bourbon spice that appears later in the sip. Lingering pepper, light oak and tons of lush fruitiness. Again, low coffee, but that's fine with me. Coconut still fairly strong, but it works nicely against the bourbon and fudgey malts. Sweet graham cracker, vanilla and marshmallow lingering. Probably jumped the gun on opening this by about 3-6 months, but it's still soft, supple, comforting, flavorful and fruity with no booze or raw/unfinished sugar. Just maybe a bit big, burly and intense yet.
