Cask-conditioned at the Commercial rooms (JDW), Bristol March 2015. Amber with a moderate, off-white, head. Sweet, hedgerow fruit, caramel sweetness, some bready malts and a decent, bitter finish. Ok, but not up to Purity’s usual standards.

28th March 2015: cask pint in the Victoria Station Wetherspoons. Amber body with an off-white head. Mixed fruit bag of aromas and tastes, citrus and red berries blending together seamlessly and pleasantly. Let’s call it a fruity flavoured beer which I found easy to drink and moreish.

Cask at the Pump House, Shirley. Poured a clear light amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is zesty citrus hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a dry, slightly floral hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell. GOlden amber with a tight cream head; pleasant blackcurrant aroma; more blackcurrant in the mouth, contrasted by some tangy grapefruit and spice; with the blackcurrant winning through to the end. Rather good - but I am a fan of blackcurrant.

Crosse Keys. Spoons. Cask. Clear amber beer, small bubbly pale cream colour head. Palate is light and smooth, decent fine carbonation. Airy malts, fairly sweet and lightly tangy. Semi sweet floralness. Ripe citrus. Light semi dry finish. Not bad.

Cask at the Victoria Station Spoons - London. Pours clear gold with a creamy white head that leaves strong lacing. Ripe citrus in the nose with hints of hay and biscuity pale malts. Light-medium sweet flavor with fairly pleasant citrusy hops, mild rindy bitterness, balancing pale malt sugars. Light bodied with fine carbonation; decent condition. Pretty well balanced to finish, some ripe orange, white bread, faint grass. Nothing wrong here.
